As some of my close friends will know my good lady Karen & myself have just returned from a 14 days cruise of the Caribbean with a couple of days stop over in Orlando.
The Freedom of the Seas was to be our home for the 2 weeks.
And with views like this over St Thomas, I cant be blamed for missing out in the last few weeks of the Grayling season.
The couple of day's stop over was for some retail therapy, the wife thinks it was for her but really it was to allow me to get to the Bass Pro shop and the Orlando Outfitters to replace my ageing wading kit with some new Simms Headwater Waders & Freestone Boots at decent prices unlike the silly UK prices.
I had no intentions of buying a new wading jacket but after hearing the reviews this jacket got at both shops from anglers and shop staff, I had to give it a try & at $80 ( just over £54) I couldn't refuse.
FroggToggs Hellbender Jacket
Here is a review I was shown whilst in the shop: froggtoggs hellbender jacket
Time will tell if its suited to our climate.
Along with the new wading jacket and other bits and bobs as you do....... a total saving of over £350 was saved, UK prices really are so disgraceful!
Well that was the Grayling season, it seems like only yesterday that I was looking forward to the season and here I am closing it out for another year. I cant complain I've fished new waters with friends & fished old favourites with some really good friends and cherish every moment and this season produced another lady over 3lbs from the Clyde this time, 3lbs 3oz and a new River Personal Best.
Well a few weeks of Hospital visits in store for me now but am definitely looking forward to this years Brown Trout Season, as & when I'm able to get out.
Tight Lines to everyone for the forthcoming season.
Now i know why you've been quiet George, not bed for some EH ! :)
