A Day On The Cover

Was back out on the cover for the 1st time this year but could have probably chose a better day as the river was very low and gin clear, nevertheless I had a small trout right at the off.

moving from pool to pool I managed to put a new prospective into C&R by doing it at range with a further 2 fish, Was thinking of the strain on the cane rod.

Came across a dipper's nest so had a photograph of it as I passed by, you can just see the young bird at the opening waiting to get the next feed which the parents were struggling to keep up with.

Caught a further small fish later on in the day but all in all a very enjoyable walk with some cracking scenery & wildlife and a couple of small fish thrown in for good measure.
