Too Long Away

Finally managed to get myself back onto a river which I haven't been onto since the end of the Grayling season which is highly unusual as this river has always been kind to me and today got the chance to get on for a couple of hours so jumped at the chance.
Started around 2pm & a strong cold wind was blowing which didn't bode well for any fly life to start an afternoon rise so started off fishing a couple of traditional spider patterns and straight from the off managed to find the fish all be it small and mainly Grayling.

Finished at 5pm with 4 small trout & 12 Small Grayling not a bad effort for a difficult and cold day and as usual the river was kind to me.
The best from Today.
