Its been almost a year since I was last asked to make some crow quill floats for someone, and apart from myself I was wondering how many anglers actually still use them, good question? not as popular today as they used to be in the early 50's & 60's where the description in most catalogues of that era were:
A beautifully finished float. Straightened crow quill, spirally bound for strength and a whipped on taper cork barrel. price 1/6
The cork has been substituted to balsa for the customer but apart from that almost identical as to what they were like in those days.
